MAY 1ST 2024

A couple of the reps felt really nice and smooth I am certainly starting sprinting from a good fitness place. Just a touch of lactate at the end of the last rep.


MAY 3RD 2024

Easy Tempo: 8 x 100m, rest 60 seconds

Many muscles are sore from the last sprint day but I took the heat off and was really just doing these more like 20-21 seconds each. Easy strides


MAY 4TH 2024

My right hamstring is sore right from the lower glute down to the knee! I guess my first real injury and not far into it. I will warm it up and stretch it out two times today, otherwise only rest. I have to walk a short distance but that will do it good. Hope this doesn't last too long.

Going forward, keep it to that 20 second range 100m. Just do that consistently for awhile until your body adapts. You're going to have to increase intensity more gradually.


MAY 5TH, 2025

Right hamstring was significantly improved on waking. Optimistic for a May 7th return to very easy tempo sprints.

15 minutes - Warm up, mobility and stretching.
Later 10 minute hot shower. I know they say ice is recommended but that single shower took the discomfort 90% away!


MAY 6TH 2024

15 minute warmup, mobility and stretch. Ended with 21 pushups. Cat thought pushups was playtime, with my head as I went up and down. I'll get 25 next time and she will be in the bathroom!

Hamstring feeling pretty good. Feeling optimistic of return tomorrow


MAY 7TH, 2024

I felt tightness in my hamstring a couple of times but it was transient. At the 4th rep this weird but not unpleasant warm sensation seemed to be coming from the hamstring. It was weird. I got into a nice rhythm in the middle reps. Up and down. I was out of breath at the end. Just like tempo is supposed to be, I was able to finish last rep as fast as first rep. But breathing heavily. Absolutely no lactic feeling so that's good.


MAY 8TH, 2024

Technique felt a little strange at times, bit sloppy. Super taxing on my breathing by the last 3 reps and had to bend over after the last rep. But no problems with achilles or hamstring and first training goal has been met.


MAY 9TH, 2024

Just a few exercises. I'm not very strong at the moment. I have to start small. My hamstring warmed up well, but my achilles was a bit stiff. Lots of raining mornings to come so not sure how I will manage to get training in.

I kept it to that. Many sore achy muscles today. I hope to return tomorrow.
