My achilles felt reasonably fine this morning on waking so I set out on another short easy run. There is no physical reason I can't be doing 4 and 5k right now. I find mentally I just run out of steam to motivate myself to keep pushing. I become bored.
Nevertheless, I'm happy the weather is turning and I can actually get out there again.

Today I actually had a pretty decent jog. My legs and breathing were improved and my energy level. At 4km I felt I could go onto 5km, but for the sake of my achilles tendons I will keep my intensification and volume increases small.

The run felt pretty good. Just a nice easy pace with a surge over the last half km to try to dip below 29 minutes.
