Some discomfort in my left achilles afterwards but the run felt decent. I kept it nice and slow as it has been 10 days since I last ran. The weather is a bit tricky right now but I expect it will start improving in a week or so.
APRIL 4TH, 2025

I felt lethargic today. I could tell even during warm up that I didn't have much energy. But I tried to run anyway. Just a slow pace but the whole time was kind of a struggle physically and mentally. I could have gritted out a 4k but 2.5k was a convienient place to stop. A little disappointing but I know what the reasons are.

I expected to have a better run today and I did. My minimum goal was to reach 4km, but running on 6:02 / km pace I had plenty of juice left to proceed onto 5km. I thought of perhaps trying to do as much as 6km but my right calf (lower) started to cramp up over the last half km and I just cruised into an easy 5km. Poor weather the next couple of days including 10 cm of snow so probably a couple of days off. Perhaps I will try a strength circuit tomorrow?
