September 1st, 2025
- Mobility, stretching, 1km jog, few strides
- Tempo: (90%) 5 x 60m, 2 minutes rest between
- Timed Results: 9.1, 8.58, 8.35, 8.47, 8.59
That's a new old Man p.b 8.35! Equate to 13.32 100m. I moved training location to a cinder strip nearby. The first 15m were slightly downhill, making my accelerations feel a little off. Then the last 45m were a slight incline. I have to believe when I get on a real track that sub 8 is possible very soon. My achilles bothered me a bit walking home but afterwards not too bad.

- WARMUP:
- Mobility and Stretching, 1km jog
- 2 x 60m @ 60%, 10m A march, 10m B march, 1 x 60m @ 80%
- Acceleration:
- Bent over Arm Drives, 2 x 15
- 2 x 20m (3.18, 3.06)
- 3 x 60m (8.44, 8.53, missed time)
- Plyometrics:
- Alternate Leg Bounds, 2 x 15
- Cooldown:
- 2 x 60m @ 60%
- 200m easy jog
- 1 km walk
I tried new technique on my 20m and was quite surprised to hit a 3.06. On my first 60m rep I decided that would be my one attempt at p.b. About 25m into it I lost my footing on the web grass and stumbled for 10m before I could right myself. The time was 8.44 but had that been run properly I would have a new p.b.
I am very curious what I can sprint for 30m right now and that may be the next thing I check out.

- Mobility and stretching (extended 20 minutes)
My hamstrings were really tight when I woke up but the long warm up and stretch followed by 20 minute walk loosened everything up.
September 6th, 2025
- Mobility & stretching, 1km jog, strides
- Tempo: (60%) 10 x 60m walk back 60 second recovery
Times ranged between 9.8 and 10.5 but clustered around 10.1-10.2. Those are low 16 second tempo 100's. My form felt very nice, loose and smooth. A little winded but nothing serious
September 7th, 2025
- Mobility & Stretching, 25 minutes extended
My upper left hamstring was still tight this morning. It felt better after this light session. I will repeat this tomorrow before attempting my next speed session (or tempo if this lingers).
